Mark Geragos

The Armenian-American criminal defense lawyer Mark John Geragos, was born on the 5th of October 1957. Hailing from Los Angeles, California, Mark Geragos received his JD from the Loyola Law School three years after his graduation from the Haverford College in 1979.
He currently serves as a managing associate at the LA-based law offices of Geragos and Geragos. Mark Geragos is noted for defending several prominent personalities in the entertainment industry including the late Michael Jackson, Winona Ryder, Chris Brown, as well as the family of the late David Carradine.
In addition, Mark Geragos also represented two prominent political figures - Gary Condit and Susan McDougal, who was allegedly involved in the Whitewater controversy. At present, Mark Geragos’ attention is focused on defending the Dhaliwal brothers, who were both injured after an incident at the San Francisco Zoo.
As a tribute to his heritage, Mark Geragos maintains a close relationship with the Armenian community. In fact, he currently serves as the chairman of the Armenian Bone Marrow Donor Registry for the Advisory Committee of Birthright America. Aside from this, he is also associated with the Armenian community ministry and since 2006, he has been a member of the Armenia Fund International Board of Trustees. His dynamic involvement in the Armenian community earned him recognition from the Armenian National Committee of America.
